Nikon AP-8 Automatic Level

Compact and lightweight, this automatic level features a magnetic-dampened automatic compensator to level the line of sight; quality Nikon® optics for bright, sharp, detailed images; and rugged water-resistant construction. The horizontal tangent knobs can be operated with either hand and feature an unlimited range to ensure smooth, precise pointing and angular measurement. Carrying case, lens cap, plumb bob, adjustment tool, and vinyl dust cover included.

This Nikon AP-8 Incorporates an engineer’ s handy automatic level with accuracy of ± 1.5mm in 1km double-run leveling and friction brake for faster operation. Moreover, an endless horizontal drive with control knobs on both sides, water-resistant construction for use under dusty conditions or in light rain, and the option to mount on a flat- or spherical-head tripod all contribute to enhanced operability. Optional diagonal eyepiece lens attachments for use in confined spaces are also available.

Automatic compensator ensures reliability
All AP/ AC/ AX Series auto levels are rugged and water-resistant-and they feature a built-in magnetic dampened automatic compensator that levels the line of site within the range of ± 16' , with a setting accuracy of within ± 0.5 inches.

Brighter, sharper images and improved minimum focusing
Nikon optics effectively let in more light, so you see brighter, sharper images-especially in low-light conditions. The AP-8 model auto level features a 28x high-magnification telescope, the AC-2S has a 24x telescope, and the AX-2S has a 20x telescope. All three models offer minimum focusing down to 2.46 ft ( 0.75 m) for better performance in tight spots or on steep slopes.
