or more convenient. The Tremetrics OSCAR 6 and
OSCAR 7 Electro-Acoustic Ears are the reliable
test subject substitutes that help you generate a
daily legal record to document that your
audiometer is “ in calibration” .
OSCAR 7 is a dual-function instrument, providing
both the daily biological test and the OSHA octave
band sound level check for your test environment.
These dependable units accommodate all
standard and Audiocups earphone enclosures and
include self-guiding, color-coded earphone
couplers so that headsets can be properly
positioned every time. And the best news – a
battery is not required.* The OSCAR 6 does
include a 9-Volt battery for use with other
audiometer models.
Automatic compliance built in
Both the OSCAR 6 and OSCAR 7 models
incorporate the patent-pending ID Wizard™ which
provides compliance documentation.* The
electronic ID insures that the daily OSCAR
biological is automatically compared with the
OSCAR baseline test that was performed when
the audiometer was calibrated. This information is
stored in a Daily Biological Log in the Wizard
audiometer where it can be printed on audiograms
or reports.
How can you know that your testing environment
meets OSHA ambient noise level criteria?
During a hearing test, the new OSCAR 7
continuously monitors the sound levels, pausing
the HT Wizard if noise levels exceed the
maximum acceptable standard. You can be
assured of always being in compliance and
having the confirming documentation on your
audiograms.
